Piddling in my studio.....

So it is my sister-in-laws Birthday on Tuesday. As I was piddling in the studio this morning I decided to try my hand at felt skulls. Dion loves all things Halloween....in fact her Birthday is the whole month of October! I am going to add a loop on top of these skulls and she can use them as ornaments. They were fun. I had seen a felt skull on pintrest.....and there you go.

An organizational dream comes true....

So lately we have been organizing and cleaning. I know, I know....yikes! Having discovered stamped samples that have not posted yet...guess what we will be doing.....Posting both the older  and the newer samples (arriving in the mail almost everyday).
With that being said, the amazing sample above was made by Carolyn D. from Batesville, IN. She sent this to us awhile back. I love the colors she used. The stamp is our London Collage. Getting stamped projects from everyone shows us different ways to look at stamps in a new way. Thank you Carolyn for your art work!
Thank you all for all the samples! And yes, we will get busy posting them!

More samples with DP Artworks rubber stamps!

Here are some samples I happened upon. I wish I could tell you who made them.
I see Amy Anderson's name on the back of one. She may have made all three.
They are awesome samples. I do have many samples to post and will be doing so soon.

The latest from Stamp Your Art Out!

Here is an e mail that was sent out on Monday:

As many of you know, Stamp Your Art Out! is the promoter of the Stampaway USA Rubber Stamp Convention.
Today I announced that the retail operation of Stamp Your Art will be closing by November 1.
I want to assure everyone that we are retaining the name and will continue promoting the Stampaway Convention and operating the Verses Rubber Stamp Company.
Stampaway 2013 date is August 9 and 10 and will again be at the Sharonville Convention Center in Sharonville (Cincinnati), OH.
It’s been a wonderful 21 years owning a retail store and I enjoyed every minute of it.....well, almost every minute of it. Smile
Connie Williams

Stamp Your Art Out is a great store and if you are in the Cincinnati area you should drop by...and tell them I said HOWDY!

Rubber stamp samples and....birds....duh!

We went birding on Sunday in our usual areas.
We heard a lot of birds but didn't find the "sweet spot".
Usually there is one spot that has a lot of birds or unusual birds.
There is always next Sunday.

I thought this was funny.

We received 2 envelopes today with stamp samples....
We are very excited to share them with you.
So... I should have them posted by tomorrow evening.

A sweet DP Artworks stamped sample

Here is a very sweet sample from Bridgette Yond. We met her at Stampaway this past August. She lives in Minnesota. She has used a lot of our stamps. The list of stamps are at the bottom of this post.

The combination of stamps that she used is wonderful.

I hope you enjoy this sample as much as we do!
Thanks Bridg
