Asparagus season
It's April and the asparagus is still producing. I love this time of year! I'm planting the things that will provide food this summer. Days seem to slip by quickly so I must keep up with the planting, weeding, and watering. So far I've planted a wisteria, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes (though my plants I have grown from seed are a bit young), 3 blueberry bushes, a rose and some bulbs. I will be planting beans tomorrow. I had ocean started but something ate off all the leaves...Argh! There will be photos of my garden to follow. I love the smell of dirt, grass, and rotting wood. I am in my element.

Spring has sprung!
Spring has sprung!
It's time to get out to the garden! I will be planting peas, onions and perhaps garlic. The Old Farmers Almanac says it's time to get started planting outside. Spring migration is in full swing and I am looking forward to seeing the Orioles and the Hummingbirds. Photos will follow.

Saying goodbye
This past November I had to say goodbye to my father. I'm just now being able to move forward.
I am hoping to get back to everyday life, to enjoy the basic things that make me happy. It's been a long road so far.

Fresh new beginnings
New beginnings are always hard, nerve-racking, and totally stressful! Today I took steps (Really, really big steps) towards a fresh new beginning. I'm cleaning up my life as well...Physically and mentally. This is going to be a wild ride!

Hey, sting has sprung !
A walk through any farm and ranch store and you will notice that spring is here. There are baby rabbits, chickens and ducks.
One of the reasons I like spring? Being outside and gardening, one of my passions. I love to take seeds, plant them, and then 60 days later be able to eat, literally, the fruits of my labor. So far I have 10 tomato plants, eight broccoli, 6 peppers, along with, peas, bush beans, onions, garlic, and cucumbers. I'll be posting garden photos soon. Enjoy the spring weather!
