Mona altered book part 2

The stamp above is the Duomo in Florence Italy.
I love Florence Italy!
The featured on this page is Palazzo Vecchio.

Most of this art I have seen...but nothing beats David!
I made a book, that are actual pages I reduced.

The Birth of Venus is copied on acetate.
There is a light behind it that you can twist to turn on.
It illuminates and the true art shines.

Mona altered book part 1

Here is an altered book I did a bit ago.
I used a lot of my DP Artworks rubber stamps.
The Mona stamp is like no other.
It is a reverse of the actual painting of Mona.
Altered books are so much fun to make.
Both these pages have movable parts.
Flip it up....and....
pull it up.

Gathering altered books

Here is a Secret Garden altered book I did.

The photos are random shots of the book...no real order.

The niche is filled with paper flowers.

The gnomes in the tree swing.

It is so much fun to make altered books.

So I was asked to post photos of some of my altered books. Today I will be photographing them and will post them tomorrow.

Wee art

Do you know what these are? They are coin holders. Shel Andrews sent us this. It is double sided. The two DP Artworks stamps she used are Bee gear (small) and the other is Pressed (flowers). You could totally put this on the front of a card, altered book or even add a ribbon for and ornament.

There is more information below. This class include; stamping, collaging, coloring and ink work, carving (a niche), shading, stuffing, cutting, gluing, acetate placement, and much, much, more!

Here are two pages from the My Secret Garden altered book that I will be teaching later this month. There is more information below. The class will be a lot of fun. Hope to see you all there!
