I love this new image; we called it In the park. This is an oversize card like the previous cards have been.
I used prismacolor markers. The prismacolor markers are like Copic markers.
They give a nice translucent color that can be layered to add shading. I think
I will ask for these for Christmas and build up my collection.
Come and explore the world of DP Artworks. The creative minds, awesome samples, and, weird idea....or is that unique....hmmmmmm. Take a look around and let us know what you think.

Fish is fish
Here is another sample I made. The stamps I used are Fishline and Sushi. This was a easy card to make. I stamped the fish on a piece of card stock and added color. After cutting the fish out I glued them onto the background. I then stamped the sushi quote, layered in on black, and glued it down.
Tah dahhhh.
Done.
Easy, quick, and fun!

Mary and friends
Here is a sample I made. The stamp is called Mary and friends (WI 53 G). The lady in this stamp is not named Mary...but Margret. In naming the stamp I wrote down Marg and saw it as Mary on that late night of naming stamps. It is in fact Margret Sanger. There is a great write up about her on PBS about her. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/amex/pill/peopleevents/p_sanger.html She died a year after I was born. She was an amazing lady! The other background stamp used is Script (TR 66 G). I used Chalks Burnt Sienna and Memories Black ink pads. Torn paper, a watch face, a postage stamp and a wee compass were used to complete the over sized tag.

The Big Apple sample
Along with the cute little inchie tags that Bridgette sent (posted yesterday) this card came as well. The stamp she used is Apple (TR 33 F). She stamped it using a Burnt Sienna Chalk pad. She added the color using water soluble colored pencils. I like the subtle colors of the red white and blue color families she used. We love this card!
Someone e-mailed me and asked what we do with all the awesome samples. Good question...We use them at shows, of course on our blog, tip-ins for our catalogs, and color copies are sometimes sent to stores to use as samples to spark creativity. Thanks for all the samples and e-mails.

October rubber stamp card idea
October card using DP Artworks Stamps
Mary Sue posted this and I re-posted it...
Here is what I
have been working on. I used DP Artworks Branch LG rubber stamp. I stamped the
branch in black, using a Black Memories pad. I added lines for the web of the
spiders. I found some pearl dimensional paint which worked great. The paint has
a small pointy end which makes a nice line. Using the paint as an adhesive I
stuck the spiders on. Finding some glow-in-the-dark stickers at the store I
trimmed the moon and stars and Tah dah...It is done.
I like the way
this card turned out. I am sending it on to Deena and the folks at DP Artworks.
So soon you will be seeing it on their blog. I can't wait. I am making several
of these for the boy's teachers and a few good friends.

She said she had sent some samples...but holy moly! She sent a box full of the most amazing samples....and I will be sharing these with you over the next few weeks!

The red and white card has Iron round large (it comes in three
sizes).

Nature on parade!
This card is a 3" by 3" card after matting. Before matting it is a ATC ( 2.5" by 3.5")
Okay, here is a cute and easy little card. First we made a mask of Cy MO 20 E. Basically what this means is that we stamped Cy on a piece of copy paper or a post it note, and then cut it out. We placed the cut out on the white card stock. Grab your Corner curl stamp NT 75 G and using a Marvy ink pad (Ochre) stamp the background. Lift off your mask and stamp Cy (we used Memories Black) in the space left from the mask. Next we stamped Sprig NT 85 B in Cy's hand (again we used Memories black). We could have made a mask for the sprig, but alas, we did not. The color was added with colored pencils. We matted it a few times and tah dah....another card- done.

children at play
This finished card is a 5 1/4" by 5 1/4"
Well, here is another eye candy card. This is fun and easy to make. First we used a black Memories inkpad and stamped all the images. We used a mask on Dion and the pinwheel. By doing this it looks like she is holding the pinwheel in her hand. The stamps used are listed below. The images are all colored with colored pencils. We stamped (on a piece white cardstock) the teddy bear and Scout (the dog) and colored them. Cutting both of them out, we used pop dots behind them and placed them over where we stamped them originally. This makes them "pop" off the page. We finished the card by adding color with stipple brushes (around each image).
Stamps used:
Dion MO 17 F
Toy duo MO 18 C
Scout MO 19 C
Tim MO 22 E
Pinwheel MO 24 A
Children GT 64 E This is the quote

Great new card!
Check out this awesome card. It was made from a fantastic artist named Bobbey Sakoman! She is one of our sponsored artist and has sent us many great samples. I will be posting more of her samples soon.Another one of our sponsored artist is Vicki Bridges. Her work is also out of this world. She is one of our local talents and teaches at our local stamp stores (And Bear Makes 3, located in Moore, Oklahoma).
On a totally different note...Debi (our web master) has been hard at work changing our website...I hope it will be up in the next couple of weeks. (Our old one is up now) That website is dpartw0rks.net . I can't wait to see how it looks. The newest supplement will be added. But just when we get it updated, we will be adding new images...they are already in the works.
Stampaway news! We have been accepted to teach @ Stampaway 2009! Yippy! It is an awesome convention. People fly in from every corner of the US (and Canada) to shop and take classes. If you are looking for something fun to do in August...think about going to Cincinnati. You'll meet lots of people and get great ideas to spark your imagination. And hey, we will be there! We could be your new best friends.
More soon........
